CURRENT EVENTS CLASS
This year's Current Events class is offered through the ACT program. The class is a language group and led by a speech-language pathologist with the support of two to three special education paraprofessionals. Students learn about and engage in discussions about current events appearing in school, local, state, national and world news. Classroom activities are designed to build students' literacy, critical thinking and social language skills. Students are encouraged to use technology for summarizing and reporting information based on what they have heard, read and discussed in class.
