Who am I?

My name is Carol L. Stone.  I am a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for the district. As a COTA, I am supervised by a Registered Occupational Therapist (OTR).  Our relationship is collaborative and supportive in nature.  I spent my first 8 years in the district working at South Londonderry Elementary School.  Ten years ago I was transferred to Londonderry High School.  It was the first time full-time occupational therapy services existed at LHS.

What is my role at LHS?

A team approach is used when deciding how a student will be serviced by an OT based on evaluation results from various disciplines as well as input from teachers and parents.  The job of a student in school is to learn.  The role of an occupational therapist in the school system is to help students' learn with ease.
